When it comes to trucks, you often have purists who will only buy one make of truck and then you have realists who will buy the best truck or the one that best fits their budget. If you are looking for a truck for towing, then you cannot go wrong with either of these, but the extra capacity and fuel efficiency of the Ford give it the edge once again.
Value
At the end of the day, one of the most important factors is value. Not how much you paid for the vehicle, but how much you get for what you paid. Ford, however, wins in both of these categories. The F-150 has a lower starting price than the Silverado and also comes with more standard equipment, making it the better value.
Both of these trucks are excellent choices, but only one of them can be the best, and it is the Ford F-150 hands down. It offers better fuel efficiency, towing capacity, and overall value.
