The idea of riding a helicopter and getting a comfortable view of the city may be exciting, but that does not mean that you can just go up to any private charter company and hop into one of those aircrafts at any time you so desire! One of the important things you should consider is what you should be wearing during your flight, as it could definitely make or break your entire experience. Here are some useful tips on what you should wear when going on any helicopter tours:

1. Wear Loose-Fitting Clothing During a Summer Tour
Though many people give the common piece of advice to wear light-colored clothing in order to let the heat of the sun bounce off of your clothes, you may be able to get away with wearing dark clothes as long as you are wearing something that is loose-fitting, according to an article by Kate Kreshner on How Stuff Works.

2. Wear Several Layers of Clothing During a Spring or Fall Tour
Besides the temperature dropping by a significant amount whenever the helicopter takes off into the air, you will be feeling a constant breeze as a result of riding in a much more open vehicle. Keep yourself covered in order to avoid getting too chilly so you can focus on enjoying the tour more fully.

3. Wear a Coat, Scarf, and Gloves During a Winter Tour
It would be hard to find someone who would not put on enough layers during the winter in general, much less so if one were to sit in an open aircraft exposed to constant wind and weather elements. Make sure you wear something that will be thick enough to keep you warm, as a light jacket or sweater may not be enough to keep the cold at bay. You can watch videos on their YouTube Channel.
