As the name implies, a high output fluorescent light offers a greater level of light and brightness in an area. This makes them a cost-effective option as the fixtures can be spaced further apart while still providing the same consistent level of lighting throughout the space. In large rooms or spaces, and with higher ceilings, this is a central consideration.
The HO fluorescent lights have a long duty cycle, which means they do not need frequent replacement. This further saves the long-term lighting costs for the building or facility, which is an ongoing cost saving consideration.
Brightness Levels
When brightness is a consideration, choosing the high output fluorescent lights is a good option. These bulbs come in four and eight-foot lengths, and they required specialized HO fixtures. Once installed, they provide a good level of brightness and visibility without the risk of excessive glare off of reflective surfaces.
Smaller Tubes
The T5 fluorescent light offers a smaller, more compact tube diameter, which provides the option for a smaller fixture and a more compact overall lighting configuration. There is a requirement for a T5 fixture to be used, but these bulbs are readily available in any electrical supply or lighting store or through any online retailer.
